It matters more than people expect, because it determines who you ask about heritage controls and who assesses any application. Parramatta, North Parramatta, Harris Park, Rosehill, Camellia, Clyde, Northmead, Oatlands, Dundas, Telopea, Rydalmere, Ermington and Silverwater sit in the City of Parramatta. Merrylands, Guildford, South Granville, South Wentworthville, Girraween, Greystanes and Auburn sit in Cumberland City Council. Granville, Westmead, Wentworthville, Mays Hill, Pendle Hill and Toongabbie straddle a boundary, so it depends on your side of the street. We will tell you what we think applies; Council confirms it.
